The OMNI Conference this year takes place at the JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District.
The hotel commands a privileged position in the heart of historic Savannah on the Savannah riverfront, with countless activities a short walk away. The hotel is a destination in itself and will provide a fascinating hub for OMNI with plenty of talking points.

OMNI has negotiated a special Group Conference Rate of $377 per room per night ex local taxes.
Rooms provided are River View King rooms and will be spread across the 3 Marriott buildings to ensure everyone has a stunning river view.
Rooms are 38sqm and provided with free wireless internet, mini fridge, 55-inch LED TV and coffee/tea maker.

Arrival airport transfers for all guests, arranged by Omni, throughout the day. Please look for the Omni logo on arrival (further instructions to be sent week prior to the event). Please ensure you have provided your arrival flight details to our event team conference@omnimoving.com.
Once checked in at the hotel please register with the OMNI team in Citrine II room in the Power Plant building. The OMNI team will be available throughout the day for registration and to assist with any queries.
For guests already at the hotel there is no official breakfast on Saturday and it is not included in your room rate. Guests are free to make their own arrangements. The JW Marriott complex has a variety of options available.

If you have not booked this transfer and wish to take advantage of this service, please contact the event team.
If you do not require this service, you are requested to make your own transfer arrangements. OMNI will not be providing return transfers to the airport.
Speakers
Charles “Chuck” White has been involved in the moving industry since 1994 when he went to work for Executive Moving Systems in Woodbridge, VA. Previous to that Chuck worked as a high school teacher and football coach in Maryland and Northern Virginia.
During his time serving as Director of Sales & Marketing at Executive he was elected to a volunteer position on the Executive Committee of the International Association of Movers (IAM), formerly known as the Household Goods Forwards Association of America (HHGFAA). He served on that Committee for four years and in 2005 he joined the IAM staff as their Director of Government & Military Relations.
He held that position for 10 years and in 2015 Chuck was promoted to the position of Senior Vice President for the organization.
In January, 2019, Chuck became the President of IAM.
Chuck holds a B.S. from the University of Maryland – College Park and a Masters of Education (MEd.) from George Mason University. In 2013 Chuck earned the designation of a Certified Association Executive (CAE).
Chuck is married to Becky and currently resides in Springfield, VA. He has two daughters – Breiana and Mikayla.
Combining an entrepreneurial business sense with creative energy and dedication to purpose, Richard C. Kessler is a visionary, entrepreneur, astute businessman and philanthropist.
During his 50 years in the field of hotel development and hotel management, including nine years as President and Chairman of Days Inns of America and 35 years as President and CEO of The Kessler Enterprise, Inc., Kessler has become a nationally recognized hospitality industry leader
Directing the ownership, development, and operational elements of The Kessler Collection, today, Richard oversees a portfolio of twelve luxury boutique properties located in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, and Colorado. Richard is very involved in the conception and design of new developments presently underway.
In November, 2016, Kessler commenced construction of the Plant Riverside District Hospitality and Entertainment Complex in Savannah, GA. The project was a massive undertaking that included the conversion and renovation of a 100 year old Georgia Power Plant on five acres of land with 1,100 feet of frontage on the Savannah River. The project took over five years to complete with the last phase opening in August, 2021.
Kessler is a consummate supporter and leader of philanthropic causes. He has served as Chairman of the Board for Lutheran Brotherhood and championed the merger with Aid Association for Lutherans to become Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, today a Fortune 500 Minneapolis-based financial service organisation with over eighty-three billion dollars in assets.
In 2000, Kessler was awarded the Florida Master Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young, and in 2014, the Safari Club International Patron’s Award. His personal interests include art, music and outdoor recreation.
Susan Gardner is the Senior Director of Operations and Projects for the Georgia Port Authority. She joined the GPA in February of 2020 and has over 26 years of maritime experience. In her role at the GPA, she is responsible for all of the general cargo / breakbulk operations for the GPA in Savannah and Brunswick. She joined the GPA in the midst of the container expansion project at Ocean Terminal which converted that facility to a mixed used terminal handling both breakbulk and container operations. Prior to joining the GPA, she was the VP of Field Operations for the Americas for Navis where her team was responsible for the sale and successful implementation of all Navis projects in the Americas region. She gained terminal operations experience and knowledge in the nearly 18 years she worked for APM Terminals with various leadership roles at several terminals in North America including New Jersey, Norfolk, Charleston and Tacoma Washington.
Julie Blanford: Julie joined GSA in 2009 and serves as Director of the GSA Federal Acquisition Service’s Employee Relocation Resource Center (ERRC). She and the ERRC team serve as the central access point for employee mobility procurement tools and information. ERRC works closely with agencies and suppliers to update programs, offer new solutions, and provide subject matter expertise for buying services and managing programs effectively. Approximately 90% of Federal Executive Agency civilian household goods and homesale assistance transactions are procured using GSA ERRC programs. Julie has more than 30 years of experience in the employee relocation industry as a consultant and managed or contributed to projects that include writing the report for the Governmentwide Relocation Advisory Board and conducting housing market analyses and briefings for DoD’s Basic Allowance for Housing, US Coast Guard, and other US Government agencies.
Born and educated in Warwickshire, UK obtaining a BSc degree from University of Reading, Philippa fell in love with the moving and relocation industry not from the birth-right as the name might suggest, but from spending a year in South Africa with a leading moving and relocation company. Philippa returned to the UK to join the family business in 1994 where her career began in corporate move management. A year later Philippa graduated from FIDI with the top student award and in 1996 brought together the corporate business of the 10 branches of Robinsons and Cantay and created Robinsons Corporate Move Management in two specialist centres in Abingdon, Oxfordshire and London. Based on her passion for operational excellence, delivering a valued customer experience and driving efficiencies in operational output, Philippa has held positions at all levels and is now Director and Chief Operating Officer of Robinsons. Philippa is also a board member of OMNI (Overseas Moving Network Inc) and Agent Relations for the one-group network, bringing global interactions to her daily life.

THE 2022 OMNI GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Club at Savannah Harbour is designed to utilize it’s spectacular natural setting to create a premium course, with unparalleled views of historic downtown Savannah gently winding its way through tidal wetlands. Unique green complexes with Tour-quality putting surfaces challenge golfers’ skills for successful scoring in this pristine golf environment providing players a pure golf experience.
The day includes return transfer to the club, 18 holes of golf and golf cart, welcome coffee and grab and go lunch. Clubs can be rented separately.
PRIVATE HISTORICAL TROLLEY TOUR OF SAVANNAH

A trip to Savannah is not complete without a tour on one of the famous city trollies. This tour will provide a fully narrated and unscripted tour taking in the stunning architecture of the many historic buildings, churches, squares and monuments amongst the moss draped live oaks. Soak up the abundance of history that Savannah has to offer, and of course stop off for a cooling refreshment on the way!
PAGE ISLAND GROUP EXCURSION
Sunday 30th October | 13.00 – 19.30hrs
Today is a chance for the whole group to enjoy an afternoon of rest, relaxation and catching up! Starting with a leisurely private boat cruise on the local Haig Point Ferry, we will head to Page Island, a stunning private chain of 9 islands spanning 40 acres of trees, soft green grasses, white-sand and blue tidal waters. The chance to fully immerse yourselves in the stunning nature of the South Carolina Lowcountry!
Enjoy a nature walk between the islands, join in some of our picnic games or simply relax in a comfy hammock before ending the afternoon with a traditional Lowcountry Boil including fresh shrimp, kielbasa sausage and corn on the cob.
FAREWELL DINNER AT THE OLDE PINK HOUSE
Monday 31st October | 19.00 – 23.00hrs
Legend has it that several ghosts haunt the 18th-century Georgian mansion that is home to the Olde Pink House, so what better location for our farewell dinner on Halloween night! Excellent food and a cozy ambience have made the Olde Pink House of the city’s most popular restaurants.
Savannah trollies will transport you to this elegant venue where you will enjoy fine food and plentiful drink and maybe even some dancing!

AIRPORT TRANSFERS
The closest airport is Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.
On Saturday 29th October, OMNI will be providing arrival transfers for all guests to the JW Marriott; this is included in your registration fee. Please provide arrival details on your registration form or send to the Omni Events Team at conference@omnimoving.com.
OMNI will not be providing return transfers to the airport after the conference.
OMNI will, however, be providing a coach transfer to the IAM conference in Atlanta on Tuesday 1 November at 10am. If you have registered your interest you will be sent further details shortly. If you are interested in booking for this transfer please contact the Omni Events Team.

Safety
Savannah is considered a generally safe city during the day. As with any large city in the world, it’s advisable to use the safe in your room to store valuables, money, and passports. Beware of pickpockets in crowded areas. Be mindful when out late at night and try to avoid walking alone in the city at that time.

Healthcare
If you need emergency medical assistance during your trip, the hotel can call a local doctor. In emergencies dial 911. You should contact your insurance/medical assistance company promptly if you’re referred to a medical facility for treatment. Make sure you have adequate travel health insurance and accessible funds to cover the cost of any medical treatment.
Climate in Savannah
October – November is Autumn in Savannah, Georgia. It’s the perfect time to visit. The average temperatures are around 16°C – 26°C (55.4°F – 71.6°F) so you may need a sweater in the evenings but generally day times are warm and not humid. On average, October and November are the driest months with an average of 7 rainy days a month; be sure to bring a raincoat just in case, and some sensible shoes for the tours.
Gratuities
Tipping is expected in most US cities and Savannah is no exception. Waiters in restaurants expect to receive 15-20% tip, however 15% is the norm. It is not required to tip if you receive bad service! It is also common practice to tip bellmen and hotel maids $1-2 a day.

The voltage in Savannah, Georgia is 120V and the frequency is 60Hz. Plugs are types A and B. Type A is the plug which has two flat parallel pins and plug type B is the plug which has two flat parallel pins and a grounding pin.
