Santa Fe Hong Kong, rejoins OMNI

An interview with the company’s general manager, Patrick Groth

On 1 January 2025, Santa Fe Hong Kong rejoined OMNI (Overseas Moving Network International), strengthening its global network and reaffirming its commitment to delivering high-quality relocation services. Patrick Groth, general manager for Hong Kong and Taiwan, shares his perspective on the market’s evolution and why this was the right time to reconnect with one of the industry’s most established networks.

Santa Fe has been part of Hong Kong’s business landscape since 1980. The market has seen significant shifts in mobility trends, creating new opportunities for international relocations. Over the past few years, there has been a clear transition from high outbound movement to a resurgence of inbound relocations.

“The landscape has changed,” Patrick explains. “We are seeing new talent flows—more professionals and senior executives choosing Hong Kong, not just from the US, but from across Southeast Asia and mainland China. Companies are establishing and expanding their international headquarters here, creating fresh demand for high-quality relocation services.”

This shift aligns with Hong Kong’s evolving role as a key business hub. Santa Fe has adapted by strengthening its service offerings and ensuring a seamless relocation experience for clients. “During peak demand periods, our team responded swiftly to support customers, ensuring they had the right solutions at the right time,” Patrick says. “That agility remains key as the market moves forward.”

The decision to rejoin OMNI reinforces Santa Fe’s focus on delivering exceptional service through a trusted global network. “OMNI is a highly selective network of international moving specialists,” Patrick says. “Rejoining allows us to collaborate more closely with some of the most experienced partners in the industry, ultimately benefiting our customers.” He emphasises that being part of OMNI enhances Santa Fe’s ability to offer tailored solutions, particularly for complex international moves where seamless coordination between trusted partners is essential.

Patrick also highlights the importance of industry relationships in maintaining high service standards. “Global mobility is constantly evolving, and it’s essential to stay connected with the best in the industry. Being part of OMNI gives us access to valuable insights, best practices, and expertise that contribute to our ongoing improvement.”

Patrick is supported by regional managing director Adam Sloan, head of sales and customer services Calvin Tang, and Santa Fe CEO Samuel Mergui. Together, they are focused on ensuring Santa Fe remains a trusted partner in the evolving global mobility market.

With Hong Kong’s relocation market rebounding, Santa Fe is well-positioned to support the next wave of global mobility, offering expertise, stability, and a commitment to excellence.
